Job Training, Anyone?

I'm afraid of offending some of my new friends, but I'll say it anyway. I am generally not a Wal-Mart fan. There I said it. My distaste stems from a number of reasons, not all of which are important to tonight's post. But I will also admit that I do shop there every now and again because it is a great one stop shop. However, once the Super Target opens across the street...well, now that place is my weakness.

Okay, for today's aggravation with Wal-Mart. I needed a few fresh veggies for the stir-fry I made tonight and some bath and haircare products. It was a quick trip, and all was going well until the checker, holding one of my items and looking confused, asked, "What do you call these?"

"Umm...green beans?"

Okay, seriously.

Oh my gosh! Just goes to show you how the kids of our "fast food nation" have been raised. I once had a checkout girl not know what garlic was, but green beans!!

I'm not a fan of Wal Mart either, but their groceries are the cheapest around. Thank goodness there's no Super Target nearby. I'd never get out of there without tons of stuff I never intended to buy in the first place!

Amen. The things that happen at Walmart... frankly give me nightmares! But they have the best prices on cereal - ha ha!

I SO hate wal mart too. And yet, i find myself there, week after week. Except I absolutely reFUSE to buy meat there. I think they share a supplier with Taco Bell....

I HATE Walmart. No offense taken here.

We have a small Walmart Neighborhood Market (it's only groceries) 1 min. from my house and that's where I do all my grocery shopping. So I can get the Walmart prices on groceries, but I try to avoid real Walmart at all costs. I seriously HATE it.

Now Target... That's another story.
