The Good News and the Bad News

No, boys. That isn't a lobster. You may want to duck out right now. For the rest of you who are still around: the chlomed (sp?) is working. In fact it is working so well that they can't do the insemination (moo--sorry that word always makes me think of cattle) this month because for someone like me who won't consent to selective reduction, 6 eggs is just too many. They or I am not interested in me birthing a litter.

So...it's good to know that my ancient ovaries still have some get up and go in 'em; in fact the nurse said she has never seen this result on such a low dosage of chlomed. That's good news!

But...it means we wait another month. Bummer.

Worse...I've been on the couch all day with a heating pad. It feels like someone took an air compressor and blew up my lower abdomen. Ouch!

Ain't infertility fun?!

That is great! Can I take your kiddos for a while today? We are having a low key day & it would be fun to have them!

I once had my fallopian tubes "blown". Imagine being hooked up to an air conpressor and someone hitting the "on" button. The most painful experience in my life. I will take a c-section over that horrible experience any day.

My point: I had to sit for a week with the heating pad as my new best friend.

I am so happy for you and maybe this will be the moment that it works. We will pray for a miracle and not a liter.

Womens' Conference Comment:
When I was there (we all run around with these BIg tags on our necks) in classes with so many women one naturally looks around to see who is there. I saw so many from Meza, AZ and was hoping that I could meet you in person. When you can you need to go, it was so amazing and you have to do the whole dorm thing. It makes it that much better to be in those buildings with all those women. It is like a huge sleepover, no sleep, laughing all night and then you are spiritually feed all day. Good Times!!!

Oh! I almost forgot:

Debbie: Yeah, they'll cut the chlomid dosage in half. 25 mg for me next month. Now just watch. I probably won't do anything. We'll see.

The Queen in Residence: I am praying I never need any of my tubes anywhere blown. Yikes! That sounds miserable. Kind of reminds me of a song. It's the one entitlted, "I Enjoy Being a Girl"!

I was wondering how "things" are going. I appreciate you sharing this journey with us. I know that you are inspiring so many.

I'm so thrilled that things are working. We'll hope that things work a little less better next month. Are you sure you don't want six? Come on. Haven't you ever seen John and Kate Plus Eight?!?!?!? (is that what it's called? I've actually only seen it once. And YOU ARE RIGHT. Six. AAAAACKKK! )

I love that you make things that seem so unwritable so very readable and endearing.
