Why Boys are a Little Scary

We had a crowd for dinner on Sunday which included my newest sister in law, Collette. Poor thing. She endured a crash course in getting to know us. It went something like this:

I had just set out some snacks, which for Griffin is like a homing signal. He was right up in the middle of things digging in and making conversation with his aunt.

Griffin: "My peepee moved."

Collette: "Uh..."

Griffin: "It wiggled all by itself."

Collette: (awkward pause)

Griffin: "It does that when it's hungry."

To Collette, my personal apologies. I can't explain it. Then again, I'm not sure any woman can. And that is why boys scare us just the tiniest bit.

LOL!!! That's so typical. I can see my son having that exact conversation.
Poor Collette.

Oh my gosh--I think I'm glad my boys can't talk completely coherently yet.

I'm crying (real tears) because I am laughing so hard...FUNNY! Too bad Melissa isn't having her funny contest right now (but I guess you won that already)!

Welcome to the family!!!

The best part is...there will always be something to laugh about.

The lady that brought you bread, is her name Monty? If so, she is one of my mom's best friends from high school. Crazy!!! If not, it's one of Monty's sisters.

You better keep that! Amazing.

Holy CRAP!!! A scorpian?! How do you get rid of those easily? I just washed my little dinky spider down the disposal. And turned it on for good measure.

I still remember your story of finding a scorpian and a dead mouse in the same week. Scary. You win.

Yes, boys LOVE to talk about their pee pee, don't they? She's pretty lucky -- at our house there's not telling what she would have heard!

I don't know if you are a seinfeild fan. if you aren't this line won't be nearlyas funny... but I love the 'shrinkage' episode were Elaine says " I don't know how you guys walk around with those things" for me that pretty much sums it up.

Nothing like an icebreaker comment!
I want a little boy someday, but things like that scare me to death.
I'm not sure I'd know what to do with him.?

I knew we were kindred spirits!(have you read Anne of Green Gables.) I'm of the opinion that there are few 'events' in life that can't be related to a Seinfield episode, and there is nothing(okay a few things) so dishearting as saying... "Do you watch Seinfield" "no", "oh never mind then, it won't be as funny if I try to explain."

Totally get the Seinfield comment.

Your little boy says the funniest things. I love to talk with him.

I'm still laughing. It's amazing what little boys will say about their equipment. They just come into the world so proud of what they've got. Thanks for sharing.
