It's that Time of Year

Wouldn't you love to spend some time here??? Gorgeous!
Trinity College Library

I'm putting some thought into my summer reading program again. On the list so far?

David Copperfield
John Adams
Team of Rivals

That's not a complete list, so I ask:
What are you reading?

I have, actually, and it's lovely. It contains the Book of Kells, which is breathtaking, really.

Ah, reading... My favorite past time. Too bad it's the last week of school and I'm going crazy. This week, the only time I have for reading is on the treadmill. Speaking of which, I need to get off BLOGGING and go fill 25 water balloons for a party.

Laurel,
I'm just pages away from finishing Alfred Lansing's Endurance - Shackleton's Incredible Voyage. Bob got my curiosity stimulated as he was reading it. Kathlynn sent the book to him as a gift. True story that was taking place during the time of my parents birth. Wow!!!

So sorry you're not feeling good. Hope the Doctor can get you back to your happy self soon.

YOU MUST READ..."A Grief Observed"--C.S. Lewis. I love it every time I read it.

Right now I am reading a series of detective/comedy for fun. Light and entertaining. Then I hope to dive into something a bit more serious. And of course, I am reading my Bible. Btw, funny comment you left on my post. Potty training for me was not as bad as I thought...everything seems easier once it is over. Phoebe has been done for about a year now and I do NOT miss poopy diapers. Of course, we do make more potty stops between my tiny blatter and hers!

I just noticed that I spelled bladder wrong. And I just cannot leave it alone, knowing you were an English teacher. LOL

I am reading "The Hiding Place" by Corrie ten Boom right now. It brings tears to my eyes on nearly every page. Oh to have her trust and faith in the midst of such horrible suffering. I'll be eager to see what you're reading over the summer!

Just finished Stegner's "Angle of Repose" and LOVED LOVED LOVED it. I don't know how to even follow that with something else. All 3 of your books are on my lists of to read. Maybe I will get started... Have you read "Gilead"??? Great read. Beautiful language.
