Some things I need to get off my chest:
1. I was put out with Bob on The Biggest Loser for stacking his team. And then he had the audacity to say that the ONLY reason he chose the grey team was because being around one of them made him feel homesick. Right!...It had nothing to do with the fact that they are both male, or that they consistently drop big numbers, or that they've never been below the yellow line. Right....it was the homesickness thing. Please!
2. The judges got it wrong on Miss America. When Miss Michigan came out in her "evening gown" I actually said out loud, "Hoochie!" They said they were going for a new look, but please! We have enough of those in Hollywood, don't we?
3. And why does coloring my hair have to cost $100?! For that amount of money it had better overshadow some of these wrinkles I'm starting to sport. Seriously!
Guess that's it. I feel better now.
Oh...and if you have differing opinions, don't be afraid. Get it off your chest.

I agree with ALL 3! I was so mad at Bob last night and just hoping for the blue team. And we had a girls night out in pjs Saturday night to cheer for our girl from Kaysville, Miss Utah...who REALLY should have won. COME ON! She WAS the people's choice...just NOT HOOCHIE enough for the judges I guess...what is the deal. I now totally agree with whatever comic I was listening to who said we need to BAG the stupid Miss America contest. And of course I also agree with number 3 because I sure could use botox! Love you Laurel!
Well, after my 6.99 hair color DISASTER, 100$ would feel like a bargain. Because now im gonna have to do something drastic to fix it. So there's a little perspective for you :). And "hoochie"-hahaha I KNOW!!!! That dress was TERRIBLE!!
Wow, I wish I could afford to go to a salon! You're right, though, I can still remember the sticker shock from some of my past visits, so now it's just me, my kind neighbor, and a nice box from the drugstore...hehehe.
I have to admit that when I read the meme, I thought, Wow, I can't do that one, I don't want to offend some of my favorite blogreaders! When I told the DH that a Mormon lady was reading my blog, he snorted and said, She won't be for long----but I am so glad you still are! :)))
Hey Laurel! Thank you! It is nice to be back. Sorry about the canceled blog page scare. OOPS!
Yes, I totally agree that Miss America was way wrong. Also, what was up with the gal in the top 10 who was asked, "Should Brittany Spear's 16 year old sister be fired from her star role of her Disney series now that she became pregnant?" She was like, "No, because she is a person like anybody else and makes mistakes, so no she shouldn't be fired." I was like...What!? At least she didn't win. She was a little stupid.
I don't watch the biggest loser, because instead of motivating me to lose weight, it just guilts me because I'm not getting of my big flabby post-labor butt! :)
I love ya! Gotta go!
Can't really weigh in on these (no pun intended!) except the hair color thing. I do my own, but brown is pretty hard to mess up. If I were blonde I'd definitely have to go to the salon!
P.S. What happened to the oh-so-exclusive Salon-de-Shi?????? Don't tell me she went outta business!!??!!
Psst! I only pay $65 for my color and she's FABULOUS!!! Check out C'West salon at Baseline & Southern (just east of the VF Factory Outlet on the other side of Sonic). Her name is Cyndi and you'll LOVE her!!
Off to read your recipe now!
I was also really mad at Bob when he used home sicknesses as an excuse for stacking, BUT I was so proud of Brittany for calling him out at the weigh in. Speaking of Brittany she's really growing on me, but my favs are still the mom and son couple.
