I'm Still Here...Just Trapped Under This Mess

Still chaos here, but improving. Today, since I cannot seem to be content with messing up 4 rooms, I am going to paint the laundry room. Why not, right? If the brushes and rollers are already out...

Well, here is what chaos looks like, and maybe is an explanation for why I can not be more interesting as of late:

Here's the loft all ripped up!

These cabinets used to be in the loft and were black.

Now they are red and will live in the family room.

Everything, and I mean everything, is out on the counter and waiting to be organized.

Well, they aren't before pictures. I never seem to remember to take before pics, but I'll post some pictures when I'm done...someday.

Wow you are crazy! Do you not remember the nightmare Irvine cabinet project from Haitis? I do love the red though. Can't wait to see the finish -- do post.

You are the only other person I know who actually paints IN the house. Why drag your furniture into the hot garage and paint when you can risk painting it on the very spot it will stay! If only Eric could see that... Love it all, why is it that about every 6 months to a year I feel the itch to change my house or re-decorate? That's not right!

I want to know the name of the color on your walls!! I LOVE that color. And the red cabinets look awesome with it. Definitely show us the AFTER pictures -- I mean, completely AFTER! :)

Madam Queen:

The color is Mannered Gold by Sherwin Williams. I really like it too, but as you will find out eventually, my house is full of saturated color.

Megs: I totally forgot the red kitchen cabinets in Irvine!! I loved those--AFTER they were done. Painting them was a drag, as I remember now.

And Amber: There is no painting outside or in the garage in AZ--at least not right now...but then again, I've never painted outside or in the garage. You called it! I thought it was funny that you thought it was funny. I hadn't ever even thought about it before. Now you've got me laughing at myself.

Melissa: I'd be more tired if I had gone to the gym even one day this week. I'm back on the wagon on Monday. See you there.

Rochell: Pictures will be coming, although I'm never really done. Maybe this time I will finish all the loose ends.

Me again. Yes, I'm reading the posts. Yes, I can verify the condition represented by the pictures... But I also know that order will be restored and somehow everything will turn out looking better than it was before.
