Will the Real Laurel Please Stand Up? Soon?

Things I Haven't Done in the last three weeks:

1. Blogged
2. Read a book
3. Made my bed
4. Put on makeup voluntarily
5. Spent an entire day without crawling onto the couch and curling into the fetal position at some point

I am not myself. But I hope to return to myself shortly. Please be patient. I know I said I'd stop talking about this stuff, but I can't be creative right now. My brain does not seem to be functioning appropriately.

I'm sorry le petit bebe is giving you fits!

I will wait for your brilliance to return... Until then I'm sending you non-throw-up-vibes... Or energy vibes... or whatever-you-need-vibes!

Hang in there and don't be so hard on yourself. If you need to lay on the couch ALL DAY, do it.

At least it's not a mysterious, unidentifiable illness, and you know it will end someday (hopefully soon).

I totally know how you feel. I hope you get feeling back to normal soon!

Hey Laurel,
I haven't read your blog in awhile...and well, congratulations on the morning sickness!!!

We are thrilled you are expecting!
It does get better btw. I remember climbing the stairs and feeling like I had run a marathon (which I have never really done, but you get the point). So get lots of rest. You are growing a Wicke!

You are experiencing those little things that no one ever tells you about. The exhaustion, the fatigue, the ability to do just about nothing. I remember asking my girlfriend after my daughter was born why she did not tell me about all the fun that I was in for and she just smiled and said, "Would it have made a difference?" No I guess that it wouldn't have but some idea that it was normal to feel so exhausted would have been nice.

Take care of yourself and as you can see, we will all be here when you get your second wind. The second trimester is better, just hang in there.

Girl, you are allowed to do all of those things (and a few others I could name). There is NOTHING worse than feeling pukey. It will pass. And we'll be here waiting.

And don't you know that we're all so excited for you that we don't care if that's all you talk about?!?

This too shall pass! So sorry you have to go through all this.

uh Laurel, you are entitled as a mother and wife and as a pregnant mother to not make your bed, and crawl on the floor and stay on the coutch. The house will still stand and the family will still function!
It'll be over soon.
